Bear's Story...
Sweet Bear is one of the most handsome 10 year olds you will ever see. He has a striking silver coat with subtle brown highlights that just adds to his charm.

He is a simple, low-key guy that wants two things out of life:
1. someone to pet him
2. someone to brush him

He's quite the talker and will always tell you how he feels with a full range of meows, chirps and grumbles. Bear came to Lucky You after his owner died and even after being bounced around, he is thriving in the care of the rescue. He is a healthy boy who just finished recovering from dental surgery - to get his teeth back in tip top shape.

Bear has lived with cats and seems ok with dogs but would probably benefit from slow introductions. He certainly wouldn't mind being the one and only cat in a household too. The gorgeous boy is just looking for the love of a family that will take care of him during the best years of his life.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bear, a Bensalem British Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a British Shorthair for sale in Bensalem, or seeking a British Shorthair cat from a breeder in Bensalem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bensalem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bensalem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even British Shorthair breeders who help with British Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bensalem paves the way for another one to be saved.
