Lentil's Story...

Meet Lentil! He was rescued from the streets by a good samaritan. We think he is about 6 months old and he looks like a Border Collie/Lab mix. He weighs about 45lbs and has learned several commands already. His foster mom has put so much weight on him as you can see from his pics. The pics show just how bad a pup can look when nobody cares. They also show the change when that same pup is rescued by good people! He is very sweet and playful! He needs a safe, loving, and forever home with a family who needs a precious companion who has overcome so much in his young life. His adoption fee (adoption fee, transport fee, and health cert fee are included) is $450. He is NOT in CT due to the lack of fosters in the area. He is currently in TX. If you would consider adopting this dog from Transport then please email us. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue dog!! We transport dogs to the New England area every two weeks or so.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lentil, a East Hartford Border Collie/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever for sale in East Hartford, or seeking a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in East Hartford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in East Hartford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a East Hartford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Border Collie/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in East Hartford paves the way for another one to be saved.
