Tia's Story...
Everyone meet Tia!! Tia is a 1.5 year old shepherd/pointer mix with a heart of gold. She is very quiet and loves attention. She's such a cuddler. She was hanging out with one of staff members and loved to just be petted and loved on. I can tell she is going to make a great lap dog. Also, she loves to play. She wants a home that would give her a lot of toys and play fetch. This pretty girl does well with other dogs. She's the whole package!!! Her adoption fee is $160 which covers her spaying, current vaccinations, flea treatment and microchipping. Miss Tia is ready to go home today so come visit her at WHS this week and give her her furrever home!

Our online applications and more info about our facility found at www.warrickhumanesociety.org!

All of our dogs receive extra love and attention. They are tested for Heartworms, vaccinated, spay/neutered, microchipped and Revolution flea/tick applied prior to adoption. We REQUIRE an approved application including vet reference for adoption and a home visit in some circumstances. Each dog will be placed in a home that is appropriate for that dog and we reserve the right to deny adoption for any reason.

Here’s how it works: ShelterCare Pet Insurance Programs cover you when your pet needs essential veterinary care from an illness or injury. Also, every time a completed application for a ShelterCare program is generated through our shelter’s website, we automatically receive a $25 donation to help cover common needs like blankets, litter and food. This donation is of no cost to you and provides us with essential funds. Make the right move and enroll today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tia, a Newburgh Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Pointer for sale in Newburgh, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Pointer dog from a breeder in Newburgh.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newburgh already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newburgh breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Pointer breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newburgh paves the way for another one to be saved.
