My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! My name is Spud! My foster mom refers to me as "Spud Muffin" because I'm such a handsome fellow! My owner passed away last year and the family who had my me and my brother, Buck(7), were moving and couldn't take us so here we are with DLRR! If you're looking for a mellow, quiet companion, I'm your guy! I get along great with dogs of all sizes and even kitties too! I get a little spunky with my foster mom's furbabies, but over-all I'm content just being by your side. I'm very good in the car (you won't even know I'm there!), I know several commands, I don't jump or counter surf, I walk well on a leash, I'm house broken, and I love food. I'm a gentle giant weighing in at just under 85lbs who just wants to be by your side and be loved. I'm really a wonderful boy, but I do have some health issues. You see, I was diagnosed with valley fever a while back and it was pretty bad. My titer is low and it doesn't really affect me much but I am still on medication. I also appear to have some arthritis and require some pain meds occasionally to help with this. Because of these issues, I would love a home with dogs around my age or older, but I don't think I'd mind being an only dog if you gave me a lot of love and attention. I also would likely do well with older children if you have them because I don't play rough with my arthritis. If you're looking for a companion that will love you unconditionally and is very well behaved, I'm your guy if you'll give me a chance! Thanks for reading my bio!
