My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Due to state laws regarding out of state adoptions, we cannot adopt to families in Massachusetts or Rhode Island.

Lucille is a lover of a pup and will have you fall in love with her the second you lay eyes on her. She is approximately 1 year old. She was found as a stray so we don't know a lot about her background, but we know she has a bright future ahead of her. She loves to cuddle and watch Netflix and will be your very best friend. She loves to play with other dogs her size but would also do well in a home where she is the only dog as long as her family is able to spend time with her and entertain her. She is crate trained, leash trained, and has good house manners.

She is currently being fostered in Mississippi and will be transported via Pet Express transport services upon adoption. Her adoption fee is $400 and includes spay, age appropriate vaccinations, a nose to tail vet check, and transport costs.

Second Chances lists dogs as being available in Kittery, ME because we transport our dogs to Kittery every other week after they have been adopted. All of our local shelters have a high euthanasia rate due to overpopulation so we created our rescue group to primarily adopt to the northern states to help keep as many dogs as we can from entering our kill shelters.
