My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dixie Belle looks like a schnauzer/irish terrier mix. This little girl was totally neglected and just found wandering the streets, skinny, filthy and just a mess. Once cleaned up she was has become such a pretty girl!!! She had to have a ligament tear repaired on one of her back legs and is doing very well. We noticed that she was limping badly when we found her and now she is walking around with no pain. She is approx 6-8 years old and 20 lbs and could do with putting on a few lbs.. She is just the sweetest and best behaved dog. She is quiet, gets along with all of the other rescues, loves people, seems to be very well house and leash trained. She is just a really adorable, easy going dog that will be a great companion for someone. She also tested positive for heart worms and has been treated with the required series of injections, and she has also been started on monthly heart guard.

The total adoption donation of $525 and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. Some of our dogs are still in TX in foster care.
