2/25/17:

Starr is an approximate 13 week old, 22 lb, Lab/Husky? mix! She is in love with life! She plays hard, eats hard and sleeps hard! She would LOVE to have another dog to play with, she has a best friend here in her foster home, a 1 year old, 20 lb, mixed breed female, Jennie, but, she is as happy to play with any of the other 7 dogs, male and female, 12 lbs to 90 lbs!

We found her on January 6, early in the morning, still dark, dumped on a deserted country road, she was very happy to see us and hugged my son and granddaughters around their necks until we got home. We think she was about 7 weeks old, had those little sharp needle teeth and puppy breath! She still has the needle sharp puppy teeth, but, the puppy breath is gone.... 😔

In her foster home she is contained by a fence around the deck and the yard, I wouldn't risk seeing if she'd take off if she was loose with us outside, if she was with one of the other dogs that hang out she'd probably stay with them, but, if she was with a wanderer she'd likely follow them!

Housebreaking is about complete, but, you do have to make sure you open the door consistently for her, she doesn't know how to tell you she needs to go out, she keeps her crate clean, has NEVER pooped in the house or crate!

She is very sweet and loving, would be fine in any home, she walks on a leash, she's spayed, up to date on all vaccines and microchipped!

Our standard adoption fee is $475 which covers:
All age appropriate vaccines (3 DHPP vax)
Bordetella (Kennel Cough) vax
Microchip
Rabies vax if 12 weeks and older
utd on flea/tick prevention
utd on heartworm prevention
spay or neuter of pet
bi-weekly worming
heartworm test @ age 6 months or older
fostering costs
transport and health certificate

We do not adopt to anyone under the age of 21.
