Facts about Simon

  • Breed: Caique
  • Color: Black
  • Age: Young
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: $400.00
This is Simon. He is a Black Headed Caique, is approximately 16-17 years old and is presumed Male. Simon was very loved and taken care of by his original owner who had him since he was a baby. He was surrendered due to temperament/aggression. Since he has been with the rescue, he has not exhibited any aggressive behavior, and does know how to step up. He does talk some; not anything that can be understood and he loves playing with toys, and hanging out on top of his cage. He has a good appetite; loves fruit and corn. Simon is also is wonderful feather. He is female preferential and will not be adopted out to a male-NO EXCEPTIONS! He does require quite a bit of attention and would do best in a home as an only bird, and with an experienced adopter who can access and work through some of his issues.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Birdlink Sanctuary is not open to the public. Any and all visits are conducted on an appointment basis only.

Our Adoption Process...

All interested adopters must have an adoption application on file with us prior to visitation. We strive to find each bird the best possible home that will compliment their personality, and we do believe that the birds pick their new owners, therefore, we do require that potential adopters spend some time with the bird they are interested in. If you seem like a good match for one of the birds, You will be contacted to schedule an appointment to come out and meet the birds. Note that application does not guarantee adoption. Home visits as well as references are generally required to ensure that our birds will not be placed in breeder situations, with hoarders, or other unsuitable environments. We will however, make exceptions for the right home.
