Beacon's Story...

Awwww......look at Beacon coming out of his shell one day at a time! Beacon is 1 yr old and weighs 5 lbs. This little boy came from a hoarding situation. He is super cute and enjoys the company of other dogs as well as humans. He is very timid at first but warms up with a little time. Beacon does not yet walk on leash and is afraid of his own shadow. He is working hard on his potty manners. Beacon just needs the right adopter and some TLC to become the awesome little dog we know he can be. We think he would do best in a home with other dogs to help show him the ropes.

If you would like to adopt Beacon, please fill out an application at His adoption fee, including transportation to PA with vetting paperwork, microchip registration to adopter, collar & harness, is $400.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Beacon, a Buffalo Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Buffalo, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Buffalo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Buffalo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Buffalo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Buffalo paves the way for another one to be saved.
