My name is Morgan!

German Shepherd Dog Mix Puppy for adoption in Walnut Creek, California - Morgan

I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Morgan's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Morgan's Story...
Morgan is a 1 year old female who was found as a stray but she was obviously someone's pet because she knows how to use the dog door, rides well in the car, and walks great on a leash. She does well when left in her kennel inside for a few hours. She is very quiet right now but she is also recovering from her shelter stay and we imagine her to be full of life very soon like a normal puppy. Morgan has been great with other dogs she's met and enjoys people.

Like all puppies she needs owners who are home enough, and have the time, energy, strength, and patience to guide her through her chewing, digging, and mouthing stages (which can last until they are 2-3 years old), and who will provide regular exercise, socialization and training so she will grow up to be a mannerly adult dog. All puppies bark incessantly, dig, and destroy things if they are left alone for long periods of time, and thus, need to be with owners who do not leave them alone for long hours. Priority will be given to families with experience raising German Shepherd Dog or similar puppies.

If you are interested in meeting/adopting Morgan, please fill out our adoption questionnaire which you can find at http://www.scgsr.org/adoption/aq/.

Morgan is Spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and comes with a collar, all included in adoption fee.

If adopting is not a possibility right now, could you join us in saving lives by giving a dog a temporary safe place to live for a week or more? Contact us to find out about fostering. Please refer to our website for contacts www.SCGSR.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Morgan, a Walnut Creek German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Walnut Creek, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in Walnut Creek.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Walnut Creek already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Walnut Creek breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Walnut Creek paves the way for another one to be saved.
