Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our pets based on personality, not breed label.
Hello!! My name is Penelope. I'm looking for a special patient person with experience or interest in rehabilitation of a semi feral chi that wants belly rubs. Although my face looks frosty my teeth and body are very healthy so I may not be as old as I look. I was picked up as a stray and spent a long terrifying month at the city shelter. I'm potty trained, I love doggy doors, I like other dogs but I especially love male dogs. I will not run away from home but I am scared of people. I'm also scared of car rides. My foster knows I love to be petted on my head & belly it's just that I'm not always relaxed enough to let her. I hop around like a happy bunny for food. I can be crated but I prefer to be free & I don't tear anything up in the house. I will walk besides you like glued to you but I don’t like walking on leash. If you are that special person for me please let my foster know. I'm spayed, vetted, & heartworm negative. 817-319-8773
