Additional info: Bonita was rescued from a hoarding situation with about 20 other dogs, including her sister, Lola who is also with us. Understandably, she was initially fearful and under socialized. She has now completely blossomed and is very outgoing and loving. She even gets along with the other dog in her foster home. Once Bonita gets used to you she will bond with you and become your own personal lap dog. She is cuddly and playful one on one. On her walks, though, she may shut down when she encounters other people. She likes other dogs and gets along well with them. (She doesn't like to go potty yet in front of someone!). She needs a quiet, patient person who will help socialize her. She seems to prefer women.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bonita, a Encino Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Encino, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Encino.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Encino already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Encino breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Encino paves the way for another one to be saved.
