  • Breed: Lhasa Apso/Poodle (Miniature) Mix
  • Color: Tan/Yellow/Fawn
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less

Poppy is an 8 year old who's owner surrender to the shelter, and he needed out of the shelter right away. He is Lhasa Apso and poodle mix. He loves people and other dogs, very sweet and friendly. Poppy is neutered and had a dental done where he had a couple of teeth removed (front), has his shots, is chipped, and he had to have his eye removed due to severe neglect as his eye was so crusted over and had a large scratch on his cornea. He is blind in his other eye and will be on eye drops for the rest of his life, he will come with eye meds. He also had a small growth removed from his backside and has completely healed from that. Poppy will get along with cats who are familiar with dogs. He is not good with kids. Poppy needs a home who will give this little fella extra love because the neglect here is so extremely sad.

Like most dogs in our rescue, Poppy will need work on potty training.

Poppy has an adoption fee of $450

**IMPORTANT DETAILS - PLEASE READ**

An application must be filled out before consideration for adoption. Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to commit a lifetime to him/her. We are an all-volunteer 501c3 non-profit group of animal lovers. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable as we need these funds to pay our current medical bills for our dogs as well as any future dogs we rescue as well.

As an adopter, you must be prepared to accept the fact that these dogs are rescues and, just like you and I, they all have their own individual personalities. In most cases, these little ones have been through a difficult journey that started when their family gave them up or they became lost. They may have been under stress, neglected or even abused in their past life or frightened by being left alone on the streets to fend for themselves.

Our number one focus is finding these little loves a wonderful forever home with a family who is going to care for them and show them what it is like to be loved, a safe environment, a full belly and a warm bed. These sweet babies do not ask for much from you but they may require a little patience and understanding.

WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, WE ARE AN ALL VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to come look at a dog We will contact you once we have received and reviewed your completed application. A Home visit as well as a reference check MUST be completed before a meet & greet can be scheduled. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
