Here's what the humans have to say about me:
BJ is a 1 year old neutered yellow male Lab who weighs 38 pounds. BJ arrived last weekend and during his wellness exam, it was discovered he has a significant heart murmur, grade 5 out of 6. We visited the cardiologist and the news weren't good. He cannot be treated with medications, nor can he have surgery. Somehow, all the dysfunctional components of his little heart have managed to find a way to work together. We don't know how long BJ will be with us. It could be months, or it could be years. It's out of our hands. Of course, he doesn't know what's going on and he's living in the moment acting like a typical puppy. He loves to go for walks, play, eat treats, but most of all he loves to cuddle with anyone who will let him jump on their lap. He also knows how to sit to take treats very gently. We're looking for a very special family who is ready to fall in love with BJ and allow him to have the best time of his life. He is approved for kids 10 and up. Great with dogs. He is approved for kids 10+. More info soon!
Update: BJ is the sweetest dog I have ever had. Such a gentle love bug. He's not crazy jumping out of control. His prey drive is very strong for cats and squirrels! He loves and snuggles very gently. In the yard, BJ likes to carry a ball in his mouth and looks just so cute! He needs to be reminded that he can't run around out of control with the other dogs, so he will do best in a home with calm dogs, or as the only dog. He is just so awesome, I wish everyone could share a day with him!!!!
