Fletcher's Story...
One of four pups left in a box outside the shelter in VA. Fletcher and his siblings were initially bottle fed, but now are 8-9 weeks old, eating food on their own, and are ready to find their new homes. Happy, friendly, and very playful - Fletcher loves the big dogs! - he'll need lots of company in his new home to keep him sociable and happy. He'll be neutered and microchipped the week of 10/11/08. He's had 2 sets of puppy shots, was wormed, and went through MA Agriculture Dept. required isolation period. Felix was issued a MA state health certificate after being deemed healthy by our veterinarian. If you'd like to meet this handsome boy, please email for an application. Adoption fee $425 and includes vetting and all vetting records, collar and leash, dog toy, food & treats. We do not ship our dogs. We like to keep our adoptions local and MA and NH residents are preferred. PLEASE DO NOT INQUIRE ABOUT THIS PET unless you are ready to finalize the adoption and take your new family member home with you NOW. We do not hold dogs while you go on vacation or get your home ready. Adoptions are approved on first-come first-served basis. Our puppies are adopted rather quickly. If you are interested in a specific dog or puppy, please complete and return your application immediately so that you don't miss out. Our rescue has new dogs and puppies arriving approx. every 2-3 weeks. Please continue to check our website here at adoptapet and on petfinder.com..

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fletcher, a Haverhill Labrador Retriever/Husky puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Husky for sale in Haverhill, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Husky puppy from a breeder in Haverhill.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Haverhill already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Haverhill breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Husky breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Haverhill paves the way for another one to be saved.
