My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

28 pound Bojangles is a black spaniel mix who was found by a Bojangles store manager foraging in a dumpster behind the restaurant. She crossed a six lane road multiple times daily looking for food. She had enlarged mammary tissue, so the store manager canvassed the community looking for her litter. Nearby residents reported that Bojangles had appeared in the neighborhood a couple of months earlier, and her babies had all died outside in cold weather. Petsaver NC took this sweet little dog into its rescue program. She is scheduled to be spayed March 21 after mammary tissue has shrunk. She is current on vaccinations. Unfortunately, she tested light positive for heartworms, so heartworm treatment will occur after her spay surgery. Bojangles' hair is fluffy with feathering on legs, ears, and tail. She should not require frequent haircuts like some spaniel breeds require. Several workers at the vet's office suggested Bojangles may be a mix of spaniel and border collie. She is congenial to other dogs and cats at her foster home. Photos will soon be posted. Bojangles appears to be only one year old. Her life didn't start off easily, but we are seeking a supportive family who will ensure she never lacks for food, shelter, or love again. Email petsavernc@bellsouth.net for more information.
