My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cami could be that dream come true pup for a family or retirees who love spending their time with a loving and very sweet companion. The Cairn Terrier/Australian Terrier mix is a perfect combo for those who are searching for an extremely smart and fun-loving family dog.

Cami's story is all too common in her extremely close call to being euthanized in a scary Kansas shelter. But who could ignore her adorable manner and desire to bond (a bit shyly at first) with anyone who can be her best friend? Cami is an engaging and adorable nature is just waiting to be enjoyed and appreciated. She is such a wonderful being...we think she represents some of the best qualities of the Terrier breed.

Cami, with her loving attitude, seems to be in the process of leaving behind the neglect and lack of love that made up her early life. At about 2.5 years old and 16 lbs, Cami is a fuzzy ball of good-will that loves to please. The happier her family is with her behavior, the more she shines with her accomplishments. We would love to see Cami in a home that includes her in family time and activities...she's learning about being social and would thrive in a family that truly loves her and considers her a very important family member.

Cami would also be a wonderful companion for retirees who have the time and desire to be best friends with a truly adorable young pup. Cami can be a bit frightened of the quickness of movements and loud voices of young kids...it is for this reason that we feel that Cami would be happiest in either an adult home or a home with older children.

Cami will do well with anyone who's invested in spending time with their pup. She's so pleasant and portable that she can be a part of any adventure....it can be a a long hike (she's the perfect size), a visit with friends, or just an afternoon spending time together plopped down on the couch - all of this would speak to Cami's gentle temperament and loving ways.

Cami appears to be a non- shedding pup..although it's a bit difficult to tell until she has the gift of great nutrition. She'll require periodic grooming and great nutrition to keep her coat healthy and vibrant.

Cami won't be spayed when she arrives in Denver - while we request it, there just aren't enough vets to cover the needs of the vast number of homeless dogs in this part of Texas. Farfel's is happy to cover all costs for Cami's spay and microchip after her arrival in Colorado if our Denver vet is used.

Cami will be arriving on transport in Denver on Tuesday 3/7/17. If interested in a sweet and cuddly lap-dog and best friend, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com or fax to 303-443-7730.
