Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Warning - graphic cuteness follows! These two little muffins came from another rescue. Information is hard to decipher but from the paperwork there appear to have been 8 puppies initially who tested positive for parvo - we cannot get details on the treatment, but they don’t appear to have been hospitalized but possibly treated at home - Archie (white) had several large sores where he may have gotten fluids, some infected. They have gone through the incubation period with us and appear to be healthy, and have started vaccines, so we don’t anticipate problems outside the usual risks for puppies.
These guys appear to be short-haired mixed breed puppies - possibly pointer, hound, or retriever crosses. They are being well socialized in boarding but they really need to be out into homes! Archie is the larger and the stronger personality of the two - he is constantly vying for human attention and jumping up, sometimes all over his brother, who more politely waits his turn. These guys were estimated at 10 weeks in mid-February. With puppy adoptions, the vet costs are larger than with adult dogs so the adoption donation is slightly higher at $400 but this offsets their costs - including their neuters, which will be done at our vet and at our expense once sexually mature.
