Facts about Cindy

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Gray, Blue Or Silver Tabby
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • Hair: Short
Cindy was rescued from a kill shelter and was unsocialized but bonded quickly with me. She initially would bite if overstimulated but quickly became possessive. She definitely wants to be your only girl and loves attention but doesn't like manhandling or too much handling. She would make a great companion in a single person home with someone who appreciates a smart and loving and independent girl like her. She has a cute half tail. She has lived out in the sanctuary since being here and loves it but did well inside the home. Her estimated DOB is 6-12-14

About House of the Happy Cat

About Our Rescue Group...

We are first and foremost a sanctuary to provide safe haven for cats who otherwise would be killed at a kill shelter. We foster and take care of cats for another rescue organization and help with adoption events and fund raisers. We do live adoption events with another rescue to help place their pets at local Petsmarts and other venues.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Keep an eye out at our sanctuary facebook page for adoption events on the weekends or call and arrange a meeting at the sanctuary.

Our Adoption Process...

We interview initially to see if you are a good fit for one of our animals then we arrange you to meet them. You will fill out an application and then the fee is typically $100 which includes the animals spay/neuter, combo test, and all first year shots. The cats all get flea treatment and have been treated for worms. IF they are younger and still need their shots we complete them after the adoption. We also request a home visit at some point. Some cats are sponsored and may have a reduced fee.
