Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi! My name is Peyton and I am a very playful yet loving neutered male Hound mix. Unfortunately my adoptive family brought me back because my brother and sister (6 years old) were allergic to me. I am 13ish months old and fully housebroken and crate trained. I love kids and am great with them but could be a bit much for some due to my size. I would do best with older kids or kids who are used to dogs as sometimes I forget my size/manners when playing, I am still a puppy after all. No cats for me. I failed the cat test. I would do well with a large fenced in yard (my nose takes the lead sometimes) or someone who would like to bike or run with me. I also did well in doggy daycare and played nicely with all the dogs there, but no cats, please ! I appear to like the water so may enjoy swimming in the summer. I do very well on a leash but am interested in other dogs when we are out for walks. My favorite toys are anything stuffed, which I do not destroy, and any treat dispensing toys such as a Kong. I like to see what is on your counters/tables but listen to NO and get down when told. I am working on not being so interested in the counter but it all smells so good! As is par for my breed, I love lounging on the couch/dog bed after a day of activity and will snuggle with you in bed if allowed. I would love to be part of your family!
It helps the shelter if you fill out the application online before coming to meet the dogs. Don't miss out on a nice dog.
