Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is sweet Henry the poodle and he is about 8 years old, 22 lbs, and is looking for his perfect family! Henry was found as a stray and taken to a high kill shelter and he was very sad and in bad shape. Henry cleaned up very well, though! Henry has vision limitations, but he gets around in his foster home very well. He likes to follow his foster mom’s feet so he will stand close to listen to your footsteps and waits for you to move. He has a harder time on carpeting, but he still does okay.
He is housetrained! He can hold his urine all night long. He needs to do poo poo after every meal and sometimes he tries to come inside before he has made his poo poo so his foster mom has to make sure he has done it before he can come back inside. Silly boy!
Henry is not a barker. He is a pretty quiet boy, actually. He loves to snuggle when he finds a human (not really interested in snuggling with other dogs). His most favorite thing is to be wrapped up like a burrito in a blanket and snuggled....like an infant!
He sleeps in a pack and play at night because he doesn’t like being in a crate, but he would probably enjoy sleeping in a bed with his human. Henry is a good eater and eats dry kibble mixed with a tiny bit of canned food and some water. He is good with other dogs and tries to play with them until he can’t “see” them anymore. He will get fussy if another dog bumps him or steps on him when he is sleeping, but can you blame him? Henry rides great in a car and actually enjoys baths! He likes to stand in the tub and have warm water poured over him. We don’t know how he is on a leash or how he is in open spaces, but he is learning to respond to his name now. All in all, Henry is a great little dog and he would be a great fit for a low key family who is looking for a snuggler.
Henry is neutered, up to date on all vaccinations including rabies, is microchipped, has been dewormed and current on flea control. He has even had a complete dental cleaning and had four extractions so his mouth is nice and pretty! Henry’s adoption fee is $150.00.
