found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.
Ivy is a 1-2 year old, approxmately 11 pound, spayed female. She appears to be a Manchester Terrier mix.
She was found at a medical center where she had been hanging around scrounging for food for around 3 weeks. A good samaritan took her in until a foster home could be found. Initially shy and a bit skittish, she soon learned some people can be okay to be around. Ivy is a fiesty, curious, and spirited girl. She is very smart and clever and would likely do very well in an obedience class. She does well with most other dogs, but can sometimes be bossy around submissive females. She barks at the cats in her foster home, and although has not attempted to hurt them, would likely give chase if given the chance. She does excellent in a crate, and is working on potty training. She is current on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and micro-chipped.
Preferred home has no cats, and has a secure fenced in yard she can enjoy while being supervised. Would be an excellent companion and watchdog for a single person or couple. Because of her size, no children under age 6 please.
Ivy is currently in a foster home in San Antonio TX and can be transported to your area if adopted.
Local adopters must meet same requirements as out of state adopters.
Adoption fee is $170, and transport fee to the East coast via Rescue Road Trips is $185. Air travel, at airline rates plus the cost of a crate and crate accessories, possible.
