Shiva was rescued in Germany as a puppy and has been my family member ever since. I am active duty military, so when I adopted her I was careful to have multiple family members available to care for her should I be deployed. In the years since these options have dwindled due to medical conditions and divorce which is now leaving me with no other options but to find her a new home before I deploy in a month or two.
Shiva is a 4 year old female German Shepherd mix and Jack Russel Terrier. She's has the brains of the Shepherd and the energy of the Terrier, but with daily exercise she is never destructive. Her exercise regimen is 20-30 minutes of vigorous running (fetch) at the park once a day, and two short walks for potty time. When she isn't busy trying to play with everyone she will be curled up by your side, this girl loves to snuggle! She is trained with hand signals and verbal commands; she knows basic commands reliably, but will struggle with more advanced commands when there are distractions. She is extremely easy to train, responds best to play and praise. She enjoys puzzles, games, and tasks that challenge her mind. She does well in an apartment as long as she has smart toys (which I will happily provide) and gets her exercise. Shiva has all of her local and international vaccinations and a puppy passport for traveling with, plus she is registered as an Emotional Support Animal. She is spayed, Microchipped, and Heartworm negative.

Good with other dogs: Best with larger dogs, will try to herd smaller dogs and may play too roughly with them.
Good with cats: Unknown, she has only met 3 who stayed out of sight
Good with Children: Yes with older kids. Limited experience with children under 9, She might bark at them if they are rowdy and may knock over smaller children when trying to play with them.
