Mabel came in as a stray to a high-kill city shelter and lingered there for almost 3 weeks with no one even looking at her cage because that's how it goes in rural Arkansas, until her very last day when we pulled her and saved her knowing that someone besides Mabel and us is going to be VERY grateful we did!!
Mabel is at the shelter we like to call the "Group Home" with other dogs and visiting children so she's getting lots of love and socialization!! She's a happy-go-lucky girl, super friendly and plays very easily with other dogs and people of all ages -- she just knows how to blend in!! She LOVES playing with toys and if there's no one around to play with, she's happy tossing them for herself. She's got a moderate activity level and we know she'll do great in a family because she really wants to bond with people. She is the kind of girl who will learn everything you want to teach her, and the more love you give, the more she'll give back. Mabel is about 4 months old, she weighs about 20 pounds and she is a very healthy girl. We think she'll be in the 40 - 50 pound range fully grown but we have no idea what her true mix is.
