Doc's Story...
'Doc' is a sweet little Pug Mix who is full of hugs & kisses; he's approx. 2.5 years old. He tends to bond closely with one person in the home & slowly adapts to others but is not aggressive in the slightest. He does get nervous around new people that come into the home & new environments but has gotten better & quicker with his adjusting. He is fine with young children but does not interact much with them. Doc does fine with cats & other dogs, but doesn't engage in playing with them, so he shouldn't be adopted to be a 'buddy' for another animal. We are seeking a home for Doc with someone home most of the time, as he does get a bit anxious when his person leaves, & is not a fan of being crated. He loves touch, praise & cuddles. A quite & calm home would best suit him. He does well on the leash, is house trained & crate trained (but really, is not a fan of confinement). Confidence building is being practiced & is encouraged to continue in a new home. Doc is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested negative & is current on preventatives. He is mostly black with some unique red streaks/markings. Doc can't wait to find a person or family to call his own! (DOB: 8.22.14)

*If interested in Doc, please email SNAPRESCUES@GMAIL.COM or visit our website to inquire on his availability or to begin the adoption process. This dog is currently in a foster home, NOT at our facility.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Doc, a China Pug dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug for sale in China, or seeking a Pug dog from a breeder in China.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in China already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a China breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug breeders who help with Pug rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in China paves the way for another one to be saved.
