Hello world! I’m Bella and I’m very pleased to meet you. I know that I’m a very lucky girl to have been saved by my foster parents and believe me, I’m not taking anything for granted. I’m working my hardest to be a wonderful well-behaved girl, with excellent indoor and outdoor manners. I’m also great at showing my gratitude to the people who have been kind to me. I love cuddling with people, treats, car rides, and napping on the couch. I’ll be happy to soak up all the attention that you want to give. I have a very gentle disposition and get along well with my foster K9 brother and sister. I tend to be a little shy toward new people I don’t know, but once we are properly introduced, I’m ready to be best friends. I’m what is known as a cuddle-bug: I don’t need to be right next to you, but when I can, I’ll be right there. If you wanted to treat me to a perfect day, I’d start out with a nice romp in the yard, or a brisk walk, followed by a nap next to you. If you’re looking for a medium-energy dog, with super cuddle potential, then I’m your girl. My foster mom was asked to describe me in 3 words, but she had to add in an extra word: gentle, cuddly, beautiful and happy. Yep…that’s me… Bella.

Age: 1.5-2 yrs.
Weight: 50 lbs
Dogs: good
Cats: untested
Kids: good

Bella will be enrolled in an obedience class at Peace Love and Dogs. Her lessons are transferrable, should she be adopted before her course is completed.

About WAGS fund

About Our Rescue Group...

WAGS Fund is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization. Our group of volunteers and pet advocates works tirelessly to rescue, vet, foster, rehabilitate, and re-home dogs and cats found in the Houston area. We rescue adoptable dogs and cats that are likely to be euthanized in area shelters, raise funds to allow for transitional boarding until fosters are available, fully vet the animals, market them on various adoption sites and our social media, and in some cases, provide behavioral and/or obedience training. We are 100% committed to rehabilitating, promoting and marketing stray and unwanted pets until they are placed in a safe and loving home.

Our Adoption Process...

ADOPTION PROCESS

We work hard to find the perfect home for all the dogs and cats in our care. Listed below is the sequence of events that we go through to assure that our pets and our applicants are the perfect match for each other:

1. Fill out and return our adoption application form.

2. After receiving your application, we will verify with your vet the care on your current or
previous animals.

3. We will contact you to discuss your current situation and which pet you are interested in
adopting.

4. After discussion, we will arrange a time for you to meet your prospective new family
member. We may suggest you bring your other pets to this meeting.

5. If the initial meeting goes well and both parties agree to move forward with the
adoption, we will arrange for a home visit.

6. If, at the home visit, both parties agree that the home is good match for the adoptable
pet, we will move forward with the adoption.

7. We ask the new family to have a crate, food, toys, treats, etc. ready before the animal is transferred to the home.
8. At the home visit we will review the Home Visit Checklist and Adoption Checklist, review and sign the adoption contract, collect the adoption fee ($200 for dogs, $75 for kittens, and $50 for cats) and take the Happy Tail photo.

9. We will collect the medical records for your adopted pet and send them to you. We will also provide information to you on how to register your pet's microchip.
