My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

LaBREE is a most beautiful show Poodle who grew too big for the show ring. He had been adopted years ago by a family that didn’t have time for him.

So he came to us and was quickly adopted by a loving couple. Sadly, the husband died and his wife fell down the steps on Halloween. LaBree’s concerned barking and Muriel not coming to the door for the trick or treat time, had neighbors called the police; they knew something was wrong and were right! Muriel broke her hip and was placed into a nursing home. LaBree was tearfully returned to us.

LaBree had been adopted and returned to us by another family as LaBree did not get along with their Chihuahua. LaBree also loves men so the family felt it would be best that LaBree be in a family with no other dogs and with a man who loves lots of attention from this Poodle.

Sadly and once again, LaBree is available for adoption through no fault of his own.

LaBree is a creamy white, happy Toy Poodle who was born March 17, 2007. He is an active, sociable, outgoing, happy, oversized Toy Poodle. I am familiar with his breeder and know he comes from quality Toy Poodle lines.

LaBree has been a perfect gentleman in our home. I have found that he is extremely intelligent. He knows what he wants and will figure out how to get it. For example, he knows that when Mike is home and working in his downstairs office, LaBree has figured out how to get my attention so I will open the gate and he can get into the office with Mike! Did I tell you that this boy loves men?

This pretty boy also just loves to go for walks! You and he will enjoy all the attention people stop and give you as he is a handsome, approachable boy.

He has also gone with me to various nursing homes (pictured on our web site) where he is very friendly and sociable with all the residents who greatly enjoy holding and loving him. Especially the men!

Unfortunately when we leave, LaBree is not happy about being left behind. He feels that he needs to be with someone. I am working on that and he is improving. Or we have learned to just take LaBree with us!

Again, LaBree is a happy-go-lucky, easy going Poodle who loves the wind blowing his ears, a lap to sit in and being a ONLY dog with no cats or children. LaBree does NOT consider himself a dog, but a family member!

His $250.00 adoption fee includes the Mn State sales tax, all of his Vet work, a bag of quality dog food, treats, kennel, leash, collar, toys, blanket and a bed.

UPDATE: LaBree has been patiently waiting for his new family to come forward and adopt him. He just knew and felt that with his good looks, charm, personality and happy disposition, he would be adopted quickly!

Well, LaBree is still waiting and waiting and waiting.

While sitting on the couch last night, I could see his face becoming concerned and lack of confidence setting in.

I took pictures (posted on our web site) while reassuring him that the right family will come forward. He listened to me for a bit and then he sadly closed his eyes pretending to sleep.

He didn’t want to play with the toys, sit in my lap or listen to my words of hope.....
