Sarge's Story...
Sweet little Sarge is one of the very neglected dogs we recently got from a property in WV. He is a little shy because no one ever did anything with him or showed him any love. He is learning quickly and loves to play with the other puppy in his foster home. He is about 6 months old and would be happiest in a home with a friendly dog or two and a yard to play in.

175.00 adoption donation ($200 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough) , microchipped and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites if needed. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care. Visit www.augustadogadoptions.org for more information or to apply online.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sarge, a Staunton Redbone Coonhound/Hound (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Redbone Coonhound/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Staunton, or seeking a Redbone Coonhound/Hound (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Staunton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Staunton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Staunton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Redbone Coonhound/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Redbone Coonhound/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Staunton paves the way for another one to be saved.
