Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Jax is a 3 year old Black Dane with natural ears who is looking for a new home because his family couldn’t take care of him how they thought he deserved with so many other life situations. He is such a sweet and loving dog who is absolutely excellent with young children (besides knowing about spacial awareness like other Danes). He has lived with two other dogs, one female and one male (at separate times) and has done just fine with them both. Jax is crate trained but would much rather be with people all day, just lying around and being loved on. He is neutered, house trained and has no food aggression issues. He has had basic obedience training but would rather not perform. He is all black except a white ‘T’ shape on his chest and white on the tips of his toes. Although he is a male Dane and pure bred, he only weighs about 120 lbs. He is very protective of families and will make sure you know when there is someone who shouldn’t be there. He needs a family who can spend lots of time with him to give him the attention he needs but when he is taken out, he needs someone who makes sure he knows they are in charge so he does not have to be on guard and in a protective mode. He would love a new family that had plenty of room for him to explore! (5)
MAGDRL occasionally lists Danes that are available for adoption through another rescuer, shelter or individual. These Danes have not been evaluated by MAGDRL, and MAGDRL makes no representation about the Dane or the rescuer. Adoptions of courtesy listings do not follow MAGDRL's adoption process, and any proceeds do not normally go to MAGDRL. Adoption fees are at the discretion of the individual or rescuer.
