Sophie's Story...
Sophie is an adorable little girl. She will steal your heart. She has a sweet little personality and enjoys being part of the family. Sophie will turn 6 years young in April, and she is 22 lbs. She is a little nervous around men at first and then she warm up.She also can be shy when first meeting her and she becomes friends fast. She always has a waggy tail and likes to talk, not bark when she is trying to tell you she has to go outside or might want some extra attention. We also feel she would be best with children 10 years and older. She enjoys going for walks and rides in the car. Sophie has a silly side to her and will make you laugh. She loves running around with a toy in her mouth and has a great time entertaining herself. She also loves just to settle down and hang out. If you think you would be interested in adopting Sophie, please send us your vet name with names of other pets and phones numbers with two references. We will contact you and continue the application process. SERIOUS INQUIRES ONLY. NO PHONE INQUIRIES. Be sure and include your phone number so we can be in contact with you. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sophie, a Lafayette Havanese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Havanese for sale in Lafayette, or seeking a Havanese dog from a breeder in Lafayette.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lafayette already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lafayette breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Havanese breeders who help with Havanese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lafayette paves the way for another one to be saved.
