Hazel's Story...

Hi there! My name is Hazel and I'm 2.5 years old! I also go by “Tiny" because I am SOOO small, just about 3.5 lbs! I am the cutest little nugget you have ever met! I came from a bad place but I got outta there and into a loving foster home where I’ve blossomed into the cutest, funniest little gal! I LOVE other dogs and will need a doggie play mate in my new home. I love people very, very much once I get to know them. It will take time for me to trust, though, but once I do, we will be friends for life! Promise! I love going on walks, going on car rides and trips to Petsmart. I also like peanut butter and playing pounce with my treats. I’m great with kitties and all other animals. Because I am so small, no young children please. My bones are tiny and I might get hurt. Please call my foster mama if you want to know more about me! Her name is Angela at  720-404-4803 .

Adoption fee: $125

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hazel, a Denver Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Denver, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
