Here's what the humans have to say about me:
"Do you have a moment please,
To give this big bear just one small squeeze? Cuz every bear, needs hugs to live…So don’t you have just one to give?"
Meet OMDs newest big boy, Bear! The biggest fluffiest Bear around. Our 3 year old German Shepard/Norwegian Elkhound mix found himself in a local shelter, after his family decided that they did not have enough time for him.
True to his breeds, Bear is a smart and sensitive guy who was very confused at the shelter and the chaos proved to be a bit too much for him. He quickly deteriorated from kennel stress and due to this, Bear has not been the best of friends with the dogs and cats he has met. At this time we are looking for a forever home where Bear will be the only pet. But never fear because this extra fluffy ball of fur is really all you need! Bear is ready to be someone's very best buddy. He is calm and collected when you want him to be (and so very regal!) but ready for an adventure the second you grab his leash (about the leash.....he will need someone in his life who continues to teaches him that a leash is not for tug of war!) Bear is super athletic and would do wonderfully with an active owner. He already knows most of his commands and is really eager to show them off.
This big guy will be neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested and microchipped prior to adoption. If you are interested in adopting Bear, please fill out an application on our site OMDrescue.org
