Foxy's Story...
HEY FOXY LADY! Can you imagine this gorgeous girl was surrendered to a kill shelter in her prime years? You would not know it by her playful nature and lustrous and shiny coat- but FOXY is around 10-11 years young. She of course became a shelter favorite—just look at those eyes- you can practically see into her sweet soul! FOXY is a 52 pound golden mix who is housetrained and laid back but alps playful. Don’t let her age fool you- this girl can be quite frisky and is certainly young at heart! And what a big heart she has- she loves other dogs and being with her people. Miss FOXY tends to bark at felines- so a cat free home would suit this girl best. She will happily walk by your side any day of the week- walks are sort of her thing- she told us. FOXY is one special lady who deserves an equally special person to tell her and show her everyday how loved she is in her golden years.. FOXY is spayed, up to date with vaccines and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $275. We require a fully fence yard not invisible fence. To adopt FOXY please go to gimmeshelteranimalrescue.org to apply.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Foxy, a Sagaponack Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Sagaponack, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Sagaponack.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sagaponack already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sagaponack breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sagaponack paves the way for another one to be saved.
