Kimmie's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, and good with cats.

Kimmie's Story...
Kimmie is an absolutely adorable 2 yr old mutt! She is marked like a Shiba or a Shepherd but lean and long legged like a whippet and only about 27 lbs! Kimmie was dumped at animal control by her former humans with no explanation. As adorable as she is, we did not hesitate to take her into our program. Kimmie is very sweet and extremely loving and she loves to snuggle. We do though believe at some point she was yanked on our dragged around so her new family must be sensitive to that. She loves sitting with you on the couch and she curls up into THE smallest ball on the bed. She loves walks, and rides in the car. She is crate and housetrained. She enjoys access to a fenced backyard. Kimmie is fine with cats but would probably be happiest as an only dog. No kids under 12 please. This is a really neat little dog, quite a special girl and when we find her forever family, they will realize how lucky they are!

Kimmie is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative and microchipped!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kimmie, a Woodstock Shiba Inu/Whippet dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shiba Inu/Whippet for sale in Woodstock, or seeking a Shiba Inu/Whippet dog from a breeder in Woodstock.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Woodstock already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Woodstock breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shiba Inu/Whippet breeders who help with Shiba Inu/Whippet rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Woodstock paves the way for another one to be saved.
