Penelope's Story...
Meet Sweet Penelope. She is full of affection for people and would love to be a lap dog and full time companion. She is a good sturdy size to not trip over but not too big either at about 30 pounds. She is crate trained and house trained. Great on leash and loves to go for walks or just chill in your lap. Penelope loves her food and things that she deems are hers, especially bones and toys. Because of this she will not be good in a home with small children, even though she LOVES them. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and heartworm prevention. She is being fostered in Huntsville, AL but will gladly travel to the right inside home. If interested, please fill out an application at www.forrescue.net/dog-application

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Penelope, a Homewood Miniature Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Pinscher for sale in Homewood, or seeking a Miniature Pinscher dog from a breeder in Homewood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Homewood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Homewood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Pinscher breeders who help with Miniature Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Homewood paves the way for another one to be saved.
