Here's what the humans have to say about me:
MEET SMILEY!
The weather has been a little nasty and cold lately so we stepped inside the prison with our PAWS BEHIND BARS training program for a chitty chat with the inmates on how their pups were progressing with training! WHO DO THINK IS COMING ON STRONG as a front-runner for "dorm mascot?"
None other than our deaf dog SMILEY! He runs around the dorm area with a big ol' smile and interacts with the other dogs. He also mills around looking for pats and attention from the staff and inmates. He is such a friendly dog and is doing well with picking up hand signals for following commands. He enjoys his exercise periods and loves room to run around and play. He gets along with dogs of all sizes and would be a great family companion! His ideal family would be one that is cognizant of accommodations needed for a deaf dog. A fence for this boy is a must. He would enjoy a social life but again, there is a process for introducing a deaf dog to strangers. SMILEY IS A JOY and will keep a "smile" on his new family's face! If you think you might be a good match for Smiley, please contact Adopt Me! Bluegrass Pet Rescue at email: adoptmebpr@aol.com or phone 502-777-1442.
