My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Leilani, aka Shadow, had been at the shelter for 10 months.
Have you heard the phrase black dog syndrome? It's a term shelters/rescues use referring to having an amazing dog but because they are black they are always the one that gets looked over. They aren't as cute as the other average dog.
I had the pleasure of personally meeting her today and she is a doll. She welcomed me into her Kennel with tail wags and kisses. She is dog and kid friendly, and cats too. She is unique looking and possibly Cattle Dog/Lab...? She is completely house trained and has a great disposition. She was even used as the model for the humane societies retail store!
She is chunky and could really use some exercise. The vet says she is about 20 pounds over weight so she tires quickly. She is now on a strict diet in her foster home. She weighs about 70 pounds now.

Leilani is about 5, and if you want an easy low maintenance calm adult dog, who is so very beautiful and just wants to be your loyal buddy, consider adopting.
