Facts about Darby

  • Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Labrador Retriever Mix
  • Color: Black - With Brown, Red, Golden, Orange Or Chestnut
  • Age: Puppy
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Darby is probably slightly less than 1 yr of age. She just showed up at a farm and they asked for help finding her a good home. She is friendly with people, other dogs and good with farm animals. She will chase a cat but has not tried to hurt one. She loves to run and play and is an active dog. She will do well with a family who loves the outdoors and has older children. She might be a little active for a really young, small child.

We require a fenced yard (real fence...not an underground fence) and would prefer someone be home a lot during the day. We do not adopt active dogs to someone who thinks crating for hours is an acceptable thing to do.
We are looking for a home where Darby will be fed good quality food, treated as a family member and not over-vaccinated.

If you think Darby would fit well in your family, please contact us for an application. Our email address is adrescue2014@gmail.com. If your home looks to be a good fit for Darby, we will be in touch after we review the application. Her adoption donation is $395. She has not been spayed yet but will be before transport....so we listed her as spayed.

About Adorable Dogs- An All Breed Rescue - MA

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a group of volunteers in TN who take in owner surrenders and rescue abandoned dogs. We place these dogs in homes in the Northeast.
The dogs are fully vetted before transport to the Northeast. The exception is puppies too young to spay or neuter. We expect them to be altered at the appropriate age and will follow up to make sure this is done. The adults spayed/neutered and are socialized and at least working on being housebroken and crate trained.
We stand behind any dog we place. If the adoption doesn't work out, we want the dog back in our rescue so we can find another home for it.
We have registered with the State of TN and are a 501c3 non-profit organization. Any contributions to Adorable Dogs are tax deductable.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We are officially located in TN so most of the time meeting the pet is not possible. We are trying to add foster homes in the Northeast so meeting them will be something we can offer.
We will answer any questions you might have about any of our dogs. Email any questions to adorabledogsrescue@yahoo.com

Our Adoption Process...

An adoption fee, adoption application, adoption contract, home visit and vet references are required. For special needs dogs or senior pets we may lower our fee. See our website for this info.
Our adoption fee covers the vetting: spay/neuter (if age appropriate), vaccinations, fecal, heartworm test, flea/tick meds, heartworm preventative, food and health certificate and $140 transport fee from TN to the Northeast.
