Tancy's Info...

I am already spayed, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, declawed, not good with kids, not good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Tancy's Story...
Tancy was originally adopted from our shelter when she was just a kitten back in 2008. She is back with us because her family could no longer care for her. Tancy was very scared and crabby at first. A trip to the vet showed she had a urinary infection. Medicine, laser treatments and special food have cleared that up but our vet suggests she stay on her special food (UR Purina Veterinary Diet) so she won't have problems in the future. Tancy has beautiful long hair and loves to be brushed. She is still a little shy when she first meets you but once she trusts you she will talk to you in her unique voice. Tancy is one of our senior kitizens so her adoption fee is waived.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tancy, a Geneseo Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Geneseo, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Geneseo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Geneseo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Geneseo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Geneseo paves the way for another one to be saved.
