Here's what the humans have to say about me:
shhhhhh. Don't tell our other pups but we have a major crush on Pema. We're pretty sure it's her big ol' paws (they don't quite fit her body yet) and her calm yet puppy-like personality. Yes, Pema plays hard but our girl is pretty darn balanced so we actually named her after the wise and ever-calming Tibetan Buddhist, Pema Chodren. Add in the fact that our Pema relishes her naps (rejuvenation is key in this hectic world and who doesn't love a good nap) and she stole our hearts. At 20lbs. and almost 4 months, this sturdy Pitbull mix girlie was rescued from a high kill shelter when she was being dropped off and we just happened to be standing in the lobby. We couldn't bear to let her be impounded so she came home with us instead. It is almost as if it was meant to be. Pema does well with all sorts of canine friends and has enjoyed play dates with 130lb. gentle giants and 5lb. ninja Chihuahuas. She is also extremely people-oriented and eager to learn so she would be a great match for a first time bully owning family. She is great in her crate, not a big barker, catching on quickly to housebreaking and while she loves her toys, she is a big cuddler or enjoys a quiet moment bathing in the sun. Pema is up to date on age appropriate vaccines, dewormed and microchipped. If you need a little balance in your life, Pema is your girl. Fill out an application at omdrescue.org.
