Bob's Story...
Bob
Male
Golden Retriever Mix
DOB: 1/31/09
Weight: 55 Pounds

Bob is one of our sweet senior dogs that absolutely loves people and enjoys a long nap in the sun. He looks forward to short walks and exploring the park off leash. He is gentle, patient and will do most anything to please. He gets along very well with dogs and is house-trained with a doggie door. Bob prefers being outside, but will need the option to go inside when the weather is bad. He also is not happy with loud sounds, such as, fireworks, etc., He will try to escape when he feels threatened by very loud noises.

Bob would be a wonderful dog for a senior who is kind, gentle and just wants a sweet companion.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bob, a Mountain Center Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Mountain Center, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Mountain Center.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mountain Center already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mountain Center breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mountain Center paves the way for another one to be saved.
