Lola's Story...
I'm Lola, a super silly and playful puppy. I am 6 months old and weigh around 24 pounds. I love wrestling with my other foster puppy friends and never seem to meet a stranger. My foster mom says I am cute as can be because my pretty brown eyes look at you wanting to please you in every way. I could be okay as an only dog with lots of interaction from you, but would probably be happiest with another dog in the home to play with. I will go in my crate for treats, and after a few protesting barks when the door closes I will settle down. My foster mom thinks I should be crated when you are gone because I'm still a very curious little puppy and might get into things that I shouldn't. It's because everything seems like a fun toy to me! I am very food motivated so training would be easy if treats are involved. I have also learned the doggie door at my foster home. I'm a great little lady guaranteed to spice things up for you! Email info@habitat4paws.org to find out how to make me yours!

**Because we require home visits, we only adopt locally to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. For more on adoption policies, please see the Adopt page of our website, www.habitat4paws.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lola, a McKinney Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pointer for sale in McKinney, or seeking a Pointer dog from a breeder in McKinney.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in McKinney already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a McKinney breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pointer breeders who help with Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in McKinney paves the way for another one to be saved.
