Suri's Story...
NOTE: This is a courtesy posting for another rescuer. Please do not contact ARRF, as we do not know this pet personally. Meet this pet at the Department of Animal Services, 5821 Sweetwater Rd., Bonita 91902.

Suri is a beautiful 7-year old spayed, brindle with white Boxer/Pit Bull blend, weighing in around 60 lbs. She rides very well in the car being quite relaxed. Suri knows down and sit and takes treats very nicely, though she has shown some indication of guarding her food around other dogs. Suri is otherwise really good with other dogs - always anxious to say hello in a very nice way.

Suri walks extremely well on a leash with or without a harness. She would do best as an only dog, but with an experienced dog owner could go to a home with another canine.

To meet this pet, go to County of San Diego Department of Animal Services, 5821 Sweetwater Rd., Bonita 91902. Open Tuesdays - Sundays, 9:30 am - 5:30 pm. Closed Mondays and holidays.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Suri, a Vista Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Vista, or seeking a Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Vista.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vista already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vista breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vista paves the way for another one to be saved.
