Penny's Story...
What all can we say about Penny except that she is awesome! She is about 7-8 years old, is spayed, and is a beagle/shepherd mix. She is on the smaller side, though, and is maybe only 35 pounds. Penny is such an intelligent girl! She knows how to sit, is house-trained, knows stay, lay down, wait, and walks absolutely beautifully on a leash. She has a happy and bright personality and is so cute! You would think she is still a puppy! Penny would prefer any children in the home to be about 10 and older. Younger children and cause her to be anxious. Penny used to live with cats and was respectful! We think that any dog in her forever home should be relaxed and calm. Penny loves to please and re-directs easily especially when treats are involved! She will go for a walk any time of the day - she loves them! She is an energetic girl and is a quick learner! You are sure to fall in love with Penny!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Penny, a Michigan City Beagle/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Michigan City, or seeking a Beagle/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Michigan City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Michigan City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Michigan City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Beagle/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Michigan City paves the way for another one to be saved.
