Silas came to FVHA on the Bark Bus from the Southern US. When he arrived here it was found that he had two masses which were tested and found to be type of cancer called a mast cell tumor. They were removed with clean margins and testing shows that there is a very low rate of recurrence or spread. There is always a chance, however, so Silas will need regular wellness visits with his new veterinarian. He also had some dental cleaning while at FVHA as well as took extractions.
He is a happy boy with a huge love for playing ball. He will even roll it back and forth with you on the floor, and loves to carry it around with him when you walk. Silas is one heck of a catch for the right person!!
We always recommend crate training, exercise, playtime, and a regular schedule for potty breaks when bringing a new dog into your home. Adjustment takes time for both you and your new family member, so remember to be patient and enjoy this new and exciting time!
Included in the adoption fee are rabies & distemper vaccinations, heartworm testing, deworming, spay or neuter surgery.
