Jericho (Neutered)'s Story...
"Jericho" is a sweet adult male Labrador Retriever mix who was brought to the HSOV on March 15, 2017 for a very sad reason :( His elderly mistress had passed away that day and our Humane Officer kindly picked up so that "Jericho" would continue to be care for until we can find him another home.

"Jericho" has a black short smooth coat, a long tail, and a darling face with long floppy ears and graying on his muzzle. His eyes look so sad and it almost seems that he senses his owner is gone :(

"Jericho" currently weighs 52.2 lbs. and could easily gain a few pounds. He has already been neutered. "Jericho" is making his temporary home in our Adoption Clerk's office where he is enjoying a warm comfy bed and plenty of good food.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jericho (Neutered), a Marietta Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
