Hi! I am Ko (formerly Mindi) and my foster mom tells me I am a beautiful chocolate lab!
I know I am a plus size girl but don't let that worry you as that is starting to change. I am
on a weight loss program; I now eat diet food and go for a walk every day. I LOVE to go on my walks. I also like to run around if I have the space. A pool would be a plus for exercising me.
I want to continue to lose weight so I can stay healthy, so I need a forever family that will
keep me working towards my weight goal. I hope that is you! Because of my plus size my foster mom thinks it would be best if I wasn't around small children - I wouldn't want to unintentionally push them over with my wigglebutt. I go into my kennel easily; although
you may not even need to kennel me, as I am a good girl! I know some commands - sit, down, stay, come, leave it, shake, stop, and while I know what heel means, I am still working on leash manners. I currently have two feline foster sisters whom I am very interested in, but they don't take the same liking to me, so they stay away. No accidents in the house. No counter surfing.
I don't have a doggy door now but know I could learn fast if you had one. Oh and I LOVE head scratches, ear rubs, back scratches, tummy rubs, and car rides.

Mindi is a lovely 6 year old chocolate lab. She is a gentle girl who due to recent training, has learned appropriate manners around dogs. While she's not yet keen on the swimming pool, she's learning to enjoy playing ball with all the other dogs in training and loves to watch them swim. She is a dominant female with a confident presence in the play yard. Even though she's still considerably overweight, she's working out every day by walking on leash in a heel or on a treadmill and is losing weight
slowly. She shows interest in cats and has not been around children. She is fully obedience trained and, with the right leadership, will make a perfect addition to your family.
