My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you are interested in meeting DeweyW, please complete our adoption questionnaire at http://www.fluffbuddies.org/infoquestions.html

DeweyW, aka Dewey, is a male black kitten, born approximately December 20, 2016. He was found in a cement drum with his 2 siblings, an almost identical brother, and a Tortie sister. All 3 kittens were very undersized. While the vet estimated they were around 6-8 weeks old, their weight was more of a 4 week old kitten. They are all still small for their age, but are continuing to grow well and catch up. When I, their foster mother, took them in, I could not believe how tiny they were and also how docile they were for a kitten that age with no previous human contact.

This litter is very bonded. The ultimate situation would be for the 3 of them to stay together, but not too many adopters can take on 3 new kittens at one time. Dewey seems to be most bonded to his brother, Donny. They love to chase a little ball with a bell inside and wrestle with each other. They often include their sister in their play, Deena, but it’s mostly the boys that like to roughhouse. Dewey, like is sister, Deena, loves to knead and suckle on a blanket while purring loudly. Dewey needs a playmate, preferably one of his siblings, or a kitten near his age. Any pet open to being his friend should be ok. If no playmate is available, Dewey must have a home where someone is home most of the time with him so he is not lonely and scared.

Dewey is currently on Purina Pro Plan kitten food. He is perfect with a litter box with pellets, but could adapt to any kind of kitten litter. Dewey is used to multiple cats of different ages and also my 3 small to medium sized dogs. He is familiar with chaos and does not seem to be bothered by it at all. He is very social and very loving with people. Dewey will make a great lifelong pal for an adopter that is looking for a lively kitten with lots of love to give.

Adoption events are held at the Fair Oaks Petco (Madison at Hazel) on Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 4pm.
