EBONY
Neutered Male Black Miniature Poodle Mix 14 lbs. About 3-4 yrs.
Fee: $350
Ebony...”a deep, lustrous black.” That’s what the dictionary says, and that’s me – a deep, lustrous black. And soft and silky as well. Very pettable. Which is perfect because I love to be petted. Especially by women. I’ll admit it, I’m a lady’s man! (I’m not phobic about men, just reserved with them. I save the best of myself for the ladies.)
So let me tell you a bit about myself. I love my walks, and walking with me is a pleasure because I’m leash trained. That means I won’t go pulling on the leash when I see all those interesting things even though I’m curious about them. I’ll just walk gently beside you. I take my cues from my person as to where we go and when we pause and when we continue on. If we see children or other dogs on those walks, I’m fine; if we see a cat, I’ll just ignore it.
Speaking of training, I’m crate trained and housebroken. I like to sleep in my crate at night and I find it a good refuge here and there to take a break. If I need to go out, I’ll let you know by touching your leg to get your attention and then spinning around when you look at me. You’ll know exactly what I mean. You’ll also know what I mean when I roll over on my back and wiggle with delight – it means I’m showing you how happy I am just to be with you.
Spring makes me happy because spring means ball and I love to play ball. Even though I’m a gentle fellow and definitely not a “Type A,” that doesn’t mean that I don’t like to play! So I hope my new person won’t mind a ball playing session here and there.
My foster mom says I’m a gentle, sweet, very easy dog that deserves to have a loving family. The picture of that loving family is what occupies my thoughts a lot of the time. It doesn’t have to be a big family – one person would be fine. Maybe a nice woman that is home most of the time. Or maybe two people who would appreciate my easygoing personality. Either way, I’m hoping that my daydream becomes reality soon, so please come to meet me.
