My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi I'm Noodles! Yeah I know it's kind of a different name, but that's because when I'm on my back I undulate like a wet noodle! (Well, it's better than 'Snake' and I kind'a like the nicknames mom calls me: Noodle Man and Noodle-looni some weird dish her mom used to make for dinner.) Mom saw me in a homeless lady's shopping cart with a senior Chihuahua. Mom asked the lady if she needed/wanted help and got her to agree to let me go. She wouldn't part with the senior chi but assured mom Dr. Bravo was helping her with the chi already and that she'd soon be going into a homeless shelter that allows pets. My story is I only lived in the shopping cart for a few days as the lady had been given me by two crack heads earlier that week who were evicted. The nice homeless lady made sure I was safe so I wasn't thrown on the street to be killed by a car. Because I was too young then to know any better I was a happy go lucky lad and still am! I love to play chase and wrestle with my foster brothers and sisters and my short legs don't keep me from outrunning them! (Often I'm the instigator!) Mom cracks up when she throws a big, soft, rubber bouncing ball on the tile floor and I go bouncing after it! (I love toys and especially balls!) My best friend died several months back she was a big white senior lab with a brain tumor but while she was alive I played with her the most. Point is I get along with everyone big, small, senior or young like me. I'm just a happy boy with enthusiasm for life and all its wondrous possibilities. I have the body and legs of a basset with a border collie's coat so I'm a very handsome guy! I'd love a person or family of my own to spoil me and keep me safe, happy, healthy and loved for the rest of my life who won't abandon me when I'm old like so many mean people do. Do you think I sound like the kind of boy you could love like that? P.S. Mom says I'm going to be VERY shy at first. You have to be patient with me to allow me to feel safe and for my personality to blossom. If you have another dog that's awesome as he/she will give me canine guidance to follow as I'm getting to know you. I've become a mama's boy and haven't had much exposure to strangers. She only found this out showing me to a few folks who didn't want to take me away from her when they saw how I look at her. But give me a few weeks and I'll look at you the same way I do her now! I promise! Given I only have a 'mom' I also take to women more so than men. Ideally a single woman with time to take me out and socialize/educate me would be ideal. Or a family with slightly older kids who will respect my boundaries the first week or two until I get my bearings. And a man/husband who'll be patient in winning me over. I'm sweet as molasses just really really shy without my current mom!
